On 12 January morning KGB officers came to the apartment of Viktar Sazonau,
an electioneering agent of the presidential candidate Andrei Sannikau and the
Chairperson of the Hrodna city branch of the Belarusian Social Democratic
Hramada. Their aim was to hold a search at Hramada’s office.
At the same time they also searched the offices of the local branches of the
Belarusian Popular Front and the United Civil Party.
