KGB continues interrogations
On 11 January morning Yauhen Vaskovich, a journalist
for Bobruyskiy Kuryer, was invited for a 'talk' to the Mahiliou KGB.
On 10 January the head of the Babruisk branch of the United Civil Party, Viktar
Buzinayeu, was interrogated by KGB as a witness in the criminal case upon
Article 293 (mass riot) concerning the events of 19-20 December in Minsk.
The same day they interrogated an activist of the Young Belarus Ales
Halavan at the Pershamaiski District Police Department of Minsk, where he was
taken by a police car.
On 10 January a Slonim activist Ivan Bedka was summonsed to KGB with a writ. He
had participated in the protest action of 19 December and served 15-day arrest
for it. According to him, KGB officers asked him standard questions (who was at
the protest rally together with him, what he was doing there, etc.) and then
read him a warning about criminal responsibility.
