KGB officers late on Thursday searched the apartment of political expert Alyaksandr Fyaduta, a campaign aide of former presidential candidate Uladzimir Nyaklyayew.
Mr. Fyaduta’s wife, Maryna, told BelaPAN that four KGB officers carried out the search.
“They seized the laptop, flashcards, some papers and a photo of Sasha with his colleagues - a total of 17 items,” Mrs. Fyaduta said. “They were polite. The search lasted an hour and a half.”
Mr. Fyaduta is held in the KGB detention center along with some 20 people, including former presidential rivals of Alyaksandr Lukashenka, over Sunday’s post-election demonstration in Minsk.
Mrs. Fyaduta said that the legal counsel met with her husband only once, on the evening of December 20.
