The head of the Association of Small and Medium Business, lawyer Siarhei Balykin is intended to appeal to the prosecutor’s office against the actions of police officers.

As BelaPAN informed, two employees of Pershamaisky Police Department, an employee of the KGB in Minsk and the Minsk region and two others who refused to introduce themselves, appeared in Minsk flat of Balykin on the night of November, 27 with the resolution of the search. As a result of the search a laptop, all means of mobile communication, flash cards, memory card of the camera were seized.

Balykin was taken to the Pershamaisky Police Department for a talk, where he stayed for about three hours. They wanted to finger-print him, but Balykin refused to do so.

A procedural status of a well known lawyer, an economist and a journalist is not definite.

As Balykin informed, the law enforcement officials said that some of his messages on forums and his psychological portrait were the evidence of his possible involvement in the explosion on July 4, 2008 at the celebration of Independence Day.

As Siarhei Balykin informed BelaPAN, he was in France on the day of the explosion, where he was taking part in the work of the University for Democracy at the Council of Europe. “This can be confirmed by about forty people” - Balykin says.
