CEC evades consideration on the merits

On 23 November, Baranavichy independent observer Siarhei Housha received a reply from the Central Election Commission to his inquiry of 18 November, in which the observer called for the CEC to publish the complete lists of members of 7 local territorial and polling stations election commissions, who comprised employees of the same state enterprises.

However, the CEC chair Lidzia Yarmoshyna evaded assessing the legality of the commissions’ formation. The official reported instead that the above-mentioned commissions were formed under the Electoral Code provisions.
