Vitsebsk: administration of Kastrychnitski District Election Commission nominated to All-Belarusian Assembly
On 8 November the
Chyhunachny, the Kastrychnitski and the Pershamaiski district election commissions
of Vitsebsk held sittings to sum up the results of the verification of the
signatures that had been passed to them by the campaign teams of the pretenders
for presidency.
According to the information that was announced at the sitting of the
Kastrychnitski DEC, the commission found valid 1,534 signatures in support of
Viktar Tsiareshchanka, 1,515 – in support of Yaraslau Ramanchuk, 18,610 – in
support of Aliaksandr Lukashenka, 5,394 – in support of Mikalai Statkevich, 833
– in support of Andrei Sannikau, 3,723 – in support of Ryhor Kostuseu, 1,965 –
in support of Vital Rymasheuski, 2,049 – in support of Aliaksei Mikhalevich,
4,761 – in support of Uladzimir Niakliayeu and 5,315 – in support of Dzmitry
Us.
The commission also annulled all signatures in support of Uladzimir Pravalski, as
33.5% of the signatures that had been selected for verification had been found
invalid.
The Kastrychnitski DEC received 36 applications from 45 citizens (including
some collective applications) concerning facts of falsifications or cheating
from the side of members of campaign teams of different candidates. In
particular, the resident of Vitsebsk S.Sheiba refused his participation in the
campaign team of Dzmitry Us on his own will.
During the sitting the commission members congratulated its Chairperson
M.Kanavalava, Deputy Chairperson V.Arekhva and Secretary I.Mianchenia with
their nomination as delegates to the 4th All-Belarusian Assembly.
