According to the information received by human rights activists from members of the Kastrychnitski and the Leninski district election commissions, the greatest number of signatures was collected for President Aliaksandr Lukashenka - 30,582. Then come Aliaksei Mikhalevich with 24,196 signatures, Uladzimir Niakliayeu with 16,598 signatures, Ryhor Kostuseu with 16,545 signatures and Yaraslau Ramanchuk with 12,835 signatures. Members of the campaign teams also collected 12,381 signatures for Mikalai Statkevich, 8,981 – for Andrei Sannikau, 9,044 – for Dzmitry Us, 7,123 – for Viktar Tsiareshchanka, 6,047 – for Vital Rymasheuski and only 57 signatures for Yury Hlushakou.

The human rights defender Barys Bukhel notes that the numbers of received signatures that were announced by the Leninski and the Kastrychnitski District Election Commissions differs from the numbers that are drawn by the campaign teams of the potential candidates for president of Belarus.

’For instance, the number of signatures for Aliaksei Mikhalevich announced by the Kastrychnitski District Election Commission is 1,727 signatures more than the number of signatures that had been passed to the commission by his campaign team,’ says Mr. Bukhel. At the same time, members of the campaign team of Uladzimir Niakliayeu wonder where are 1,220 signatures that had been collected in his support and passed to the Kastrychnitski District Election Commission and why he has 448 spare signatures at the Leninski District Election Commission.’

In addition, Barys Bukhel notes that the number of the signatures that had been passed to the commissions by members of campaign teams and the numbers that were announced by the commissions also don’t match in the case of  Ryhor Kostuseu, Vital Rymasheuski and Mikalai Statkevich.

’We will watch how the question about the mismatches in the number of the received signatures will be solved, and will file complaints would it be necessary. Now I can only note the poor level of training of members of the district election commissions,’ said the human rights defender.
