On 16 August, Pinsk Town Court fined Ales Ramanovch, BPF member and activist of the For Freedom opposition movement, BYR 1,050,000 for alleged production and distribution of printed materials, Radio Racyja reports.
‘The case should not have reached the court. Over two months has passed since so-called ‘offence’, which is prohibited by the Civil Code,’ says Ales Ramanovich.
During the first consideration of the case on 16 June, Pinsk Town Court fined the activist BYR 1,050,000. However, the verdict was later overturned by the regional court.
The activist is going to appeal the verdict at Brest Regional Court.
