Mahiliou city executive committee banned a picket for nominating Uladzimer Niakliayeu, head of the ‘Rukh Naperad’ association, for participation in the forthcoming All-Belarusian People’s Congress, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.
The official reply signed by deputy chair of the executive committee Ihar Auseyenka, argues that the applicants failed to indicate the correct event location.
Similar pickets were also banned by the local authorities of the towns of Babruisk and Bialynichy.
