The period under guard for an activist of “Tell the truth!” civil campaign Mikhail Bashura has been extended to 10 days.
BelaPAN has been informed about that by lawyer Tamara Sidarenka.
We remind that on August 6 he was detained as a suspect for committing a crime. A few years ago Bashura allegedly gave a false c certificate of income. The sum in it was overstated.
Till 10 p.m. the public activist was transported to investigation actions, and interrogated till 3 a.m. without a lawyer. Bashura was offered service of a lawyer only in the morning on August 3. Then he was detained for 3 days after the interrogation.
As said by Sidarenka, on August 9 in the evening Bashura was interrogated in the Interior Affairs department of Savetski district of Minsk. “It turned out that he was charged under Article 380 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (forgery, fabrication, use or sale of false documents, stamps, seals, printed forms, committed repeatedly or by a group of persons by previous concert). Bashura faces imprisonment for up to 3 years, that is why Bashura remains under detention,” the lawyer said.
