On 15 July, a Kletsk democratic activist Siarhei Panamarou paid a visit to the Minsk District Procuracy. He was informed about the end of the investigation of the criminal case against him and prented official charges: insult of state officials.
The criminal case against Mr. Panamarou was instigated under Article 369 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, 'insult of state official' and concerned a number of critical articles published in Panamarou's bulletin Boiki Kletsk.
The activist's counsel, Pavel Sapelka, addressed the investigator with a petition for closing the criminal case because of absence of corpus delicti in the actions of his client.
