Two activists of the ‘European Belarus’ youth movement – Andrei Ilyushyn and Maksim Viniarski – were detained by the police during the Solidarity Day events on 16 June. Both activists were later released without charges.
On the same day, Vitsebsk police detained Iryna Piatrova and Kanstantsin Ivanou for distributing information materials in the city center. The detainees were taken to local police department and charged with civil offence.
