Vitsebsk Pershamaiski administrative commission fined Aliaksandr Kuzniatsou BYR 35,000 for ‘littering the city’ with his election leaflets, Radio Racyja reports.
The fine was imposed in absentia. The activist was informed of the penalty by an official letter, which said that the activists had failed to appear before the commission.
Aliaksandr Kuzniatsou was running for the Vitsebsk City Council during the recent local council elections.
