Today, on 18 May the police searched the offices and private apartments of a number of political and civil activists across the country.
In Barysau, the private apartment of Zhanna Zapryvaryna and Mikalai Pakhabau, activists of the Independent Trade Union, was searched by unknown law enforcement officers.
The private apartment of Andrei Tolchyn, leader of the United Civil Party’s Homel office, was searched by the police. The policemen seized office equipment and printed materials.
Babruisk police searched the private apartment of Alena Miadzvedzeva, activist of the entrepreneurs’ movement, seizing papers and PCs.
