Activists of ‘Speak Truth’ campaign interrogated about 4 July explosion

10 activists of the Speak Truth civil campaign were detained on 3 May in the Peramohi Square in Minsk for coming there with air balloons with the campaign logo.

They were released from the Tsentralny District Police Department of Minsk after three hours of detention without getting any charges. However, the police promised that everything would be the other way round during the next detention. At the police department, the activists were asked where they had been on 4 July 2008 in the morning, when an explosion took place at the celebration of the official Independence Day. Police officers confiscated the air balloons and fingerprinted some of the detainees.
