Activists of Young Belarus Andrei Kuzminski, Mikhail Naskou, and Alyaksei Atroshchanka were tried in the Tsentralny district court in Minsk on April 29.

The youth activists stood trial for holding a picket on October Square in Minsk demanding to extradite Bakiyev to Kyrgyzstan, Radio Svaboda informs.

Young Belarus activists Mikhail Naskou and Alyaksei Atroshchanka were fined 17,500 rubles for taking part in an unauthorized picket. Andrei Kuzminski was fined 20 basic units (700,000) rubles.

We remind that the activists held a picket on April 28 demanding to extradite Kurmanbek Bakiyev to Kyrgyzstan. The activists were detained and guarded to a militia department. They spent the night in the jail in Akrestsin Street.

It should be noted that the interim government of Kyrgyzstan stripped Bakiyev of his presidential immunity and said h should be extradited from Belarus. The former president is charged with organizing killings and abuse of power. So, there are grounds for his extradition.
