Salihorsk: territorial election commission turns out observer Markhotka

Observer Leanid Markhotka was ordered to leave the meeting of the Salihorsk district election commission.

At 20.00 the commission members gathered to receive papers from divisional election commissions. The commission’s chair Yakimovich ordered the observer to leave the premises and said he would be called in at 24.00.

Referring to Article 13 of the Electoral Code, which guarantees the open and public nature of the elections, Mr. Markhotka refused to leave the room.

As a result, the observer was forced to leave the premises by the police.
