The human rights activist Aliaksei Kolchyn was ordered to leave Mahiliou’s polling station #12 five minutes after the count of votes started, despite his official accreditation as an observer, representing the Mahiliou Human Rights Center.
‘When the counting of votes started, I raised too my feet and came closer to see the counting process. The chair of the election commission ordered to take my seat at the observers’ table. I replied that one could see nothing from there,’ says the activist.
After Mr. Kolchyn refused to obey the order, the chair asked the police to turn the observer out of the polling station.
