Observing network expanded
The participants of the project ‘Election Observation: Theory and Practice, EOTP’ have been registered as observers at various polling stations and are going to assist in collecting information for the final report of the campaign ‘Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections’.
The project ‘Election Observation: Theory and Practice’ was launched in 2007 by a group of students of the European Humanities University and the SILC. Today, it is a joint initiative of the United Center of Initiatives for Belarus (JuBIC), the Swedish International Liberal Center (SILC), the European Humanities University (EHU) and the Belarusian Human Rights House in Vilnius.
The project has taken part in 6 observatory missions: Norway (September 2007 and September 2009), Georgia (May 2008), Lithuania (October 2008 and May 2009) and Ukraine (January 2010).
