Zhlobin district: number of received ballots is put in pencil
Valery Rybchanka, Chairperson of the Zhlobin district organization of the Belarusian Party of Leftists Fair World, paid a visit to the precinct located in the settlement of Streshyn on 23 April.
'On the commission table, I saw two acts that belonged to another precinct, Shykhauski. These acts concerned the receiving of ballots for voting, and were signed by the chairperson of the Shykhauskaya precinct election commission and the chairpersons of the higher election commissions (by which the ballots were passed).
'The number of the ballots received for elections to the district council of deputies, where only one, pro-governmental, candidate is running, was put in ink, whereas in a similar act about receiving ballots for elections to the Homel Regional Council of Deputies this number stands in pencil. By the way there are two candidates running for it. One of them, Yauhen Basareuski, is a member of our party,' comments V.Rybchanka.
He stated that he made photos of these acts and will lodge complaints with higher election commissions. However, Zhlobin oppositionists don’t believe that these elections will be honest anyway.
