Salihorsk ideologists got a scholding

On 14 April, a sitting of the Salihorsk ideologists took place. One of the main issues on the agenda is the upcoming elections to the local Councils of Deputies. Despite the evident formality and non-publicity of the elections, two problems were discovered – two democratic candidates who had received official registration and conducted agitation campaign, Aliaksei Valabuyeu and Viktar Yaumenenka.

The election campaign was analyzed at the sitting from the very start. For instance, the work of ideologists at the enterprises where workers had actively signed in support of democratic candidates was criticized.

Ideologists of enterprises were also ordered to attend the upcoming electoral meetings of Aliaksei Valabuyeu and ask critical questions. Representatives of the candidate’s headquarters treated this information positively and hope to use the opportunity to speak to as many representatives of the ideological apparatus as possible.
