Information at website of Mahiliou regional executive committee was 'brushed up'
On 6 April, the expected changes took place at the website of the Mahiliou regional executive committee. These changes are a result of the publications of the article Scandalous Blunder of Mahiliou Vertical on the spring96.org and other informational resources.
Earlier the website contained the article 58 constituencies for election to the Mahiliou regional Council of Deputies of the 26 Convocation were established in the region (http://region.mogilev.by/ru/node/9180, dated 27 December 2009. As it followed from this information, the election constituencies were established almost a month before the official announcement of the date of the local council elections. The new version of the article corresponds to the timing sheet of the elections and is dated 2 February 2010.
The date was also changed from 20 January 2010 to 28 January 2010 in another article, 3099 deputies for local Councils are to be elected in the Mahiliou region at the upcoming elections.
Human rights defender Barys Bukhel says that these changes were introduced in the midday, as there were no changes in the morning.
'They are geniuses of forgery', says Mr. Bukhel, 'and these changes are introduced so that the interested people couldn’t verify the reality of the things that were noted by human rights defenders'.
He also says that the answers of the Mahiliou regional procuracy and the Central Election Commission towards the appropriate complaints will most probably contain references to the 'cleaned' information.
'Most probably', points Barys Bukhel, 'we will be answered that our information about forgery wasn't confirmed'.
