Activist Andrei Kasheuski from Zhodzina was detained on 5April at about 7 p.m. on the Asipovichy–Minsk train.

BelaPAN learnt this from the press service of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy.

Kasheuski was delivering the newspaper Narodnaya Volia on the train. 'Two men tried to provoke a fight with him. After the train arrived in Minsk, passengers called the police and the three men were taken to the police station. Policemen checked their IDs and belongings,' the statement says.

A month ago, on 3 March, the activist who was going to run for the Zhodzina city council and the Minsk regional council, was detained in the Minsk metro and sentenced to 15 says of arrest.

In the evening, the activist was released from the police station without getting any charges.
