Andrei Krechka, leader of the BPF Youth, was fined 700,000 rubles by Nadzeya Navitskaya, Judge of the Leninski district court of Minsk, for an action on Kastrychnitskaya Square on the Solidarity Day, 16 March.
Krechka was detained on 2 April. He was to stand trial the same day, but he asked to delay it as he wanted to find a lawyer.
On 16 March, some democratic activists came to Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk protesting against the trial over the Vaukavysk entrepreneurs Mikalai Autukhovich and Uladzimir Asipenka. The case of Autukhovich and Asipenka is being heard now in the Supreme Court of Belarus.
