Vitsebsk region: one registration, ten denials

11 pretenders applied to Vitsebsk regional election commission for registration of their candidacies after receiving refusals from lower election commissions.

Having examined their statements and complaints and studied the documents that were provided by the constituency and territorial election commissions, Vitsebk regional election commission decided to register Vasil Rybanik as a candidate at Haharynskaya election constituency #46. His rival is Deputy Alena Padaliak, director f Vitsebsk regional philharmonic.

Vitsebsk REC found no reasons to reverse the registration denials to the remaining ten candidates including Pavel Papou, activist of the Belarusian Christian Democracy.

However, as pointed by Tatsiana Seviarynets, head of Vitsebsk regional BCD organization, as a result of the consideration of Papou’s complaint the chairperson of the election commission that hadn’t registered his candidacy was issued an admonition for non-supplying him with the documents that witnessed the invalidity of the signatures that had collected in his support. However, the decision on the registration denial was left standing.
