Arrested participants of action of solidarity in Minsk to stand trials
Reports were drawn up against European Belarus activists detained near the Supreme Court on March 16.
13 activists of European Belarus were arrested for having come with portraits of political prisoners to the Supreme Court, where Mikalai Autukhovich and Uladzimir Asipenka are standing trial. Reports under article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences (participating in unauthorized mass events) were drawn up against the detained. The oppositionists were set free 4 hours after the detention. They were said they would receive summonses by mail.
Participants of the action of solidarity on October square on March 16 were released. No reports were drawn up against them. As one of the detained Ales Charnyshou said, four participants of the action and some people, detained near the square, were guarded to the Tsentralny district militia department and released after identification. Street action on occasion of day of solidarity with families of the disappeared politicians and the repressed people are held every 16th day of a month. This time, four participants of the action formed a human chain on October square carrying portraits of Mikalai Autukhovich, Uladzimir Asipenka, and Artsyom Dubski.
