Barysau district authorities support information access restrictions

The officials, who refused to provide information to the Borisovskie Novosti independent newspaper on 19 January, did not violate the law, says the official letter by Barysau district executive committee. The reply signed by the committee’s deputy chair Valiantsina Shutko claims that the refusals were legal since all the necessary information could be found in the state-owned Adzinstva district newspaper and on the executive committee’s web-site.
