Head of the unrecognized Union of Poles Anzhalika Borys was summoned to Leninski district police department of Hrodna.
As she said in an interview to RFE/RL, she had received a letter saying she was ‘a Polish nationalist, collaborates with nationalistic Belarusian parties, gives them premises, has some financial violations’.
The police officers who were checking this letter said Ms Borys needed to explain these facts. Borys herself calls this letter a pasquinade. She noted that the letter was signed by the person, who claimed he hadn’t written it.
Besides the Union of Poles, Anzhalika Borys also heads Polonika firm. Representatives of Kastrychnitski district police department have already stated their intention to inspect Polonika.
