Two days ago Navapolatsk police detained the member of the BPF Youth Aliaksei Trubkin and his friend Andrei Mikalayeu.
The activists were walking downtown on 13 July in the evening, when some policemen came and accused them of posting stickers. The detainees were guarded to the police station. Their belongings were searched, but no stickers were found.
The activists were let go, but were told to come to the police station the following day. On 14 July Aliaksei Trubkin and Andrei Mikalayeu came to the police department. A ‘prophylactic talk’ was conducted with them there. No violation reports were drawn up.
Bear in mind that it is not the first case of preventive detentions by Navapolatsk police.
