The wife of the arrested Afghan war veteran has already filed a complaint with the Chief investigation department of the Interior Ministry of Belarus.

Tatsiana Ulanava, the wife of the arrested 57-year-old veteran of the war in Afghanistan Kanstantsin Ulanau, stated that the term of detention of her husband in the remand prison in Akrestsin Street had been extended for 10 days, the European Radio for Belarus informs.

‘I submitted an appeal to the Chief investigation directorate, and it is already considered. I have already been told that the appeal is being studied now…,’ she said.

On July 7 officers of the Chief directorate of organized crime control searched the apartment and summer cottage of the Ulanau family, seized the sporting gun and hunter certificate.

Today the term of detention in custody of the former war veteran has been extended for 10 days. As it has been informed earlier, Kanstantsin Ulanau is a suspect in Mikalai Autukhovich’s case.

In 2005 Ulanau was on hunger strike with Mikalai Autukhovich, protesting against destruction of his business by the authorities. Mikalai Ulanau was also among many Afghan war veterans who refused to receive jubilee awards from Alexander Lukashenka.
