Leanid Sudalenka supports the movement for registration of 'Nasha Viasna'

The human rights activist Leanid Sudalenka joins the initiative in support of his colleagues who have submitted documents for registration of the public association Nasha Viasna.

‘In our country the right of association was violated not only towards Viasna, but also a number of other public associations liquidated by court. The registration of new NGOs independent from the authorities is also hampered. Of course, I join the initiative in support of registration of Nasha Viasna and express the careful optimism that in future, also in the light of the latest political liberalization, the authorities will finally have to register and restore the rights of the public associations that had been liquidated by court, including the Human Rights Center Viasna and Homel oblast public association Civil Initiatives, which also has the decision of the UN Human Rights Committee that its liquidation did not meet the international undertakings of the Republic of Belarus in this field,’ says Leanid Sudalenka.
