Young Front activists Tatsiana Shaputska and Nasta Loika, law students of Belarusian State University, were reprimanded for participation in an unsanctioned picket near Dzerzhynski’s monument on November 7th.
The final decision about an ordinary reprimand was made by BSU rector Mr. Ablameika. The Board for Preventive Measures insisted on severe reprimand. However, Mr. Ablameika, who has just taken the post, reduced the punishment.
Let us remind the readers, Young Front activists were threatened with expulsion from BSU after they had served a 3-day arrest for participation in an anti-Communist action on the Day of October Revolution. However, for the first time the university administration did not go beyond a reprimand.
