On 15 December the police detained the activists of the Young Front Yuliyan Misiukevich and Aliaksei Savinkou for distribution of the Young Front newspapers Svislatskaye Recha and flags with inscriptions ‘Let MTS be in Belarusian!’
The newspapers were not confiscated, unlike the paper flags that were dedicated to Belarusization of the services of one of the Belarusian mobile communications campaigns, MTS.
Two KGB officers came to the police station and held a ‘prophylactic talk’ with the detainees. In three hours the activists were let go. Then they were detained in Loshytsa suburb, where they continued handing out the newspaper.
