On 10 December in Baranavichy human rights activists V.Bolbat, S.Housha, K.Piatrovich and V.Syrytsa congratulated citizens on the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by distribution of brochures with the text of this document among population out in the streets. A special attention was paid to youth.

‘We handed out informational materials and brochures with the Declaration near Baranavichy State University, because we believe that at present youth is the most active group of the population,’ commented Siarhei Housha.

Students were pleased to receive texts of the declaration. There were no obstacles from the side of the local authorities and law-enforcement agencies. ‘The university is situated at the outskirts of the city, may be that’s why this action did not draw the attention of the city administration and the police,’ Housha said.

Besides, on the eve of the Human Rights Day V.Bolbat, S.Housha, K.Piatrovich and V.Syrytsa addressed the city authorities asking to put at least one streamer dedicated to 10 December. However, they still haven’t received any answer, though 10 December has already passed.
