A policeman tried to detain one of the participants of a street action ‘Tribunal for Communism!’, but had to give up under pressure of ... elderly women passing by.
On 10 December activists of Minsk branch of the Young Front organized a street action on the day of finishing of the first stage of a penance campaign ‘Tribunal for Communism!’
The young people stood in Yakub Kolas square for 20 minutes holding a banner ‘Tribunal for Communism!’ and then began handing out leaflets.
In a pedestrian underpass, a policeman tried to detain one of the participants of the action Bahuslau Raviakou, but had to give up under pressure of elderly women passing by, mfront.net reports.
‘They started shouting at the policeman so that they would let me go. The people said we were right to seek for conviction of communist ideology, and also said that a portrait of the acting head of Belarus should be printed in these leaflets,’ Bahuslau Raviakou said.
‘The zonked policemen went away’, the youth activist added.
