Polatsk: police question ‘Young Front’ activists
On Friday, 31 October, an activist of the Young Front Zmitser Sakalou was taken away from his job for an interrogation. Investigator Krakhotka asked him about the details of the activities of the Young Front and their cooperation with other youth democratic organizations.
The interrogation lasted for about three hours. ‘They asked about absolutely everything’, said Sakalou. ‘Who you know, for how long, how do you get on with each other, where other activists leave, how many of them are there in Polatsk, etc. I don’t see any sense in such questions because this information must be already well-known to them.’
When Zmitser refused to answer, the police threatened him with restricting foreign travels for him. Bear in mind that several days ago Polatsk police interrogated under-aged Young Front activists Karen Platonau and Kasia Zhohal.
