Administration of Mahiliou state university ‘helps’ pro-governmental candidate
On 9 September a meeting with MP candidates at Mahiliou Tsentralnaya electoral constituency was held in Mahilou State University. But only one candidate, Alexander Yushkevich, who was a deputy in Krycahu before, attended the meeting.
6 people run in the election at this constituency. Why was only one of them present at the meeting? The administration of the university said all candidates had been invited, but they didn’t come.
Candidate Alexander Silkou, a graduate of the university, told to ERB he hadn’t been invited for the meeting.
‘It is lie that doesn’t make teachers of my university better. I graduated from this university, took active part in university life: I was the president of students’ five-a-side football league, a captain of students’ team of Club of Cheerful and Creative, a deputy assistant. Do you think I wouldn’t go and meet with students? It offends me. I go and talk with them today. I have never thought educated people can descend to such lies.’
