Slonim: Ivan Sheha demands justice

A member of the Belarusian Popular Front Ivan Sheha, candidate at electoral constituency #58, has addressed the constituency electoral commission and the Central electoral commission with a statement to turn their attention to the fact that in Slonim all precinct commissions were formed of heads of enterprises and their subordinates. This was made by ruling of Slonim district executive commission. At the same time, none of democratic nominees were included in the commissions.

Ivan Sheha emphasizes that all heads of commissions are subordinated to the head of Slonim DEC, Mechyslau Kastsiuk, who is also a candidate for deputy. Sheha believes that this gives possibilities for manipulations of the results of the counting of ballots for Kastsiuk’s benefit.

The candidate proposes that the heads and secretaries of the commissions should be strictly warned against the inadmissibility of falsifications and also demands written guarantees of full-scale work of observers during the voting and the calculation of ballots.

In the case his legal demands are ignored, Ivan Sheha may start agitation for boycott of the elections.
