On 3 September the electors of Brest familiarized with the printed lists of the registered candidates to the Chamber of Representatives at all 16 constituencies which are situated on the territory of Brest oblast.

The total number of the registered candidates here is 40. Seven more were denied registration for violations during collection of signatures or presenting incorrect information in their income and assets declarations. Among the non-registered ones there are the members of the Belarusian Popular Front Party Alexander Halkevich (Branavichy eastern constituency #6) and Alexander Apanasiuk (Stolin constituency #16).

Among the registered candidates there are eight persons who are running for the second term at the ‘parliament’: Nina Fedaruk, Uladzimir Maistruk, Anatol Vankovich, Aleh Vialichka and even the ‘eternal deputy’ Viktar Kuchynski. In the case the latter one is elected this time, it will be his fifth term at the parliament.

Ivatsevichy constituency and Pinsk village constituency have one registered candidate each: the director general of the housing economy of Ivatsevichy Liavon Kavalevich and the director general of Pinsksauhasbud state building enterprise Kanstantsin Sheuchyk.
