Yury Meliashkevich, the member of Yaseninskaya district electoral commission #100, activist of the For Freedom movement has addressed the Central Electoral Commission with an inquiry concerning the prohibition on use of laptops to members of his commission.

Such a prohibition was imposed by the head of the commission Tatsiana Krauchanka. In his inquiry the commission member asks to answer whether it was grounded on any rulings of the Central Electoral Commission or other legal acts of the Republic of Belarus.

‘If such prohibition really exists I also ask to answer the question whether it also concerns other technological means providing analogical technical opportunities for entering, saving and passing information which are widely used by members of electoral commissions (mobile phones, communicators, mini-computers, i-phones, etc.),’ runs the inquiry.
