During the ceremony of opening The Geographic center of Europe memorial sign in Polatsk activists of the Young Front ran up a flag of the EU.

In a few minutes policemen detained a young activist Mikalai Dzemidzenka who was holding the flag. They stroke him down to the ground and twisted arms. A report wasn’t drawn up by the policemen, but the flag was seized.

The accident took place in front of very eyes of Polatsk administration’s representatives who were taking part in the opening ceremony, and of numerous passers-by who arrived to the event.

Mikalai Dzemidzenka filed an appeal to the police department stating that an unknown person in police uniform had stolen his flag and torn his clothes.
