Kanstantsin Zhukouski and Sviataslau Shapavalau, activists of the Belarusian Christian Democracy movement, were detained for distributing leaflets in the town of Vetka, Homel region.
According to human rights expert Anatol Paplauny, the guys were taken to local police department where during a search police officers confiscated some 200 leaflets.
However, they were soon released. Paplauny says they are likely to be charged with violating the Administrative Code.
