The trial over youth activist Katsiaryna Salauyova will start in Polatsak on March 27th, 3 p.m. The case will be heard by Polatsak city court judge Alena Marozava. Katsiaryna Salauyova is charged with activity on behalf of unregistered organization “Young Front”. According to Article 193.1 of the Criminal Code, the girl faces the penalty of up to 2 years in jail.
Katsiaryna was several times threatened that she would be expelled from Polatsak State University. Finally, in January 2008 she was kicked out from the 2nd year of the faculty of History and Philology. Salauyova will be defended by lawyer Aliaksandar Haliyeu.
