Criminal Case against Zmitser Dashkevich Instigated Month Ago
Alexander Haliyeu, advocate of the political prisoner Zmitser Dashkevich, found out the new criminal case against Zmitser Dashkevich was instigated more than a month ago, on August 14th. Alexander Haliyeu says a month ago he called the investigator who claimed that no criminal case had been started.
Alexander Haliyeu thinks it is possible that investigators suggested Dashkevich should change his lawyer, but he simply refused from the services of another lawyer and refused to give evidence.
Earlier co-chairperson of Young Front Zmitser Dashkevich wrote in a letter that KGB investigators had charged him with a new crime – refusal to give evidence (Article 402 of the Criminal Code).
Many times Zmitser Dashkevich, who is serving 18 months of imprisonment for participation in an unregistered organization, was interrogated within the framework of criminal cases against some members of Young Front. However, he refused to testify against his friends and colleagues.
