Courts begin to try members of BPF Youth who had participated in a summer camp. Today Zavodski court of Minsk will hear an administrative case against deputy head of BPF Youth Ilya Bohdan. The youth activist is accused of disorderly conduct (Article 17.1 of the Administrative Court). This is the official reason. In reality, the youth activist is accused of organizing a summer camp on August 17th—20th near Kosava village, in Ivatsevichy district.

Ilya Bohdan told the Human Rights Center "Viasna", during several days about a dozen activists of BPF Youth were summoned to court. The majority of the activists who received summons participated in the summer camp which took place in August, near Kosava village. 16 activists of BPF Youth went to the country to spend their leisure time. However, during two days the activists were under strict control of police who demanded from the activists to leave Ivatsevichy district, without any official grounds. In the end, on the second day of the camp all the camp participants were detained and charged with disorderly conduct (Article 17.1 of the Administrative Code). Ivatsevichy police officers drew up reports which were sent to home towns of the detained.

The first trial will take place today at 4.15 p.m. On Friday (September 21st), at 9 a.m. Leninski court will try Aleksandra Klimovich. Raman Latushka received summons for September 27th, to Maskouski district court. The trial will begin at noon.
