The youth activist Yaraslau Hryshchenia was summonsed to Baranavichy district prosecutor’s office. The investigator Yuliya Askaldovich informed him that the criminal case against him was prolonged for 2 more months. Mr. Hryshchenia is suspected in violating article 193 of the Criminal Code, ‘activity on behalf of unregistered organization’. On Friday analogical case against another youth activist, Ivan Shyla, was passed to court. Most probably, Shyla will be judged in August.

The investigator also told Hryschenia to come to psycho-neurological expertise. Two days later Yaraslau came to Baranavichy psycho-neurological hospital for it. He was taken to a separate room, where two psychiatrists (as they introduced themselves) were sitting together with the investigator Yuliya Askaldovich. The lawyer was not admitted to the ‘psychiatric expertise’, during which the fellow was asked about his biography, parents and oppositional activity. The ‘psychiatrists’ also asked whether there was any sense in his activity and then tried to convince him it was plainly foolish.

Yaraslau says that expertise concluded he was sane.
