Head of Shklou District BPF Organization Aliaksandr Fiodarau Kept In Custody for Almost One Day Already

Shklou district police department has detained the head of Shklou district organization of the Belarusian People’s Front Party Aliaksandr Fiodarau. The policemen prohibit him to use his mobile phone. Besides, there is still no information about the chair of Mahiliou regional BPF organization Ryhor Kostuseu who came to Shklou in the morning in order to find about the reasons for the detention.

The chair of the BPF Party Vintsuk Viachorka commented: ‘Aliaksandr Fiodarau is one of the most known BPF members in Mahiliou region. He has worked at the local housing economy for a long time. He had received prizes and promotions till he went in for politics. He has heard only threats for his political activity since he became an active member of the BPF, both from his direct authorities and from the prosecutor’s office. I have no doubts that this is just another case of politically motivated persecution.’
