Lithuania Confirms Entrance Prohibition for Lukashenka
According to RFE/RL
The Parliament of Lithuania has completed all formalities connected to the visa sanctions against Aliaksandr Lukashenka. There are about 70 Belarusian officials (including Lukashenka, the minister of internal affairs, prosecutor general, KGB head, some members of the Parliament and the Central Election Commission) in the non-grata lists of Lithuania, as in the appropriate lists of other EU countries. These sanctions have been introduced against the persons who were declared responsible for falsification of the presidential election, human rights violations and political repressions in Belarus.
The secretary of the Lithuanian MFA Davidas Matulionis commented that these sanctions had been applied to those persons earlier and therefore would not influence the relations between Belarus and Lithuania.
