Minsk: Evangelic Christians Pray for Change of Religious Climate in Belarus

The decision to summon a joint prayer on 3 June was takebn by the bishop of the united church of Evangelic Christians Siarhei Tsvor. About 5 000 believers took part in the prayer which was dedicated to persecution of Evangelic christians and repressions against pastors of St. John the Precussor Church.
In the beginning the floor was taken by one of the initiators of the prayer, bishop of the Union of Evangelic Churches Siarhei Khomich. He expressed his indignation with the actions of the authorities and called people to pray for change of the religious situation in belarus.
After Khomich speeches were also delivered by the leaders of the United Baptist Church, the Church of Full Evangel Christians and the pastor of Minsk church New Life Viachaslau Hancharenka.
