Maskouski district court of Minsk sentenced youth activists Sviatlana Pankavets, Eduard Zakharau, and Alexander Stasiuk to seven days of jail, and Yury Zhyhalka – to five days of jail.
The activists were detained for distribution of stickers inviting Minsk residents to participate in Chernobyl march on April 26th. They were charged with violation of Article 23.24 of the Administrative Code – “calls to participate in an unauthorized action”.
The verdicts were made by Maskouski court judges N.A. Kuzniatsou, E. B. Rudnitskaya, and T.V. Unukevich.
